Nixtaco opening in Folsom
Exciting food news for Folsom! The renowned Nixtaco has officially opened its doors right here in town.
If you love great tacos, you likely know Nixtaco from its acclaimed Roseville spot, famous for earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand award and nods from Food & Wine magazine.
This Folsom location has a little history. Owners Chef Patricio and Cinthia previously ran the fine-dining Cantina Pedregal here, focusing on upscale Monterrey-style cuisine. While unique, they listened to the community and smartly decided to bring their beloved, high-energy Nixtaco concept to Folsom instead.
This switch from the more formal Cantina Pedregal to the vibrant Nixtaco is fantastic news for families! While Pedregal offered a fine-dining experience, Nixtaco centers around universally loved, award-winning tacos. This generally means a more relaxed, welcoming atmosphere perfect for dining out with kids, without sacrificing the amazing quality Chef Patricio and Cinthia are known for. Think incredible, authentic flavors – derived from traditional methods like nixtamalization for their corn – in a setting the whole family can enjoy.
